THE CONSULTATION
One week prior to your photoshoot we will have a pre-session design consultation held at your home where we will plan the photoshoot together. We will look at where you would like to display your images, talk about colour schemes to complement that space and finally look at which products and sizes will best suit that room. For clients farther away, we can also do this over a Skype call
We style our photography with the end in mind so this information will help us settle on a location and setting and it will help us plan the shoot. This is a great opportunity for me to meet your dog(s) before the session and cover any further questions you may have.
After you book your photography session and secure a place in my calendar, we will schedule a time for your pre-session design consultation.
THE PHOTO SHOOT
The photography session itself can take place at a myriad of locations along the Swiss Riviera and up in the mountains. Due to the nature of sunlight, I schedule my sessions just before sunrise or just before sunset and, at times, I will also add my own lights into the equation. The photography sessions usually last between 1-2 hours depending on how your dog is feeling. Sometimes a whole session can be done in 30 minutes and sometimes it could take 2 ½ hrs. Every shoot is different and I do not limit my time. I am there to photograph your dog for as long as that may take. Dogs do get bored sometimes so we will stop for regular breaks and take things at their pace. Once your session is booked, I’ll send you some more information about how to best prepare for the day.
THE IMAGE SELECTION
Choosing your images can be overwhelming and part of my job is to help you narrow down that selection. Two weeks later, I’ll come to your home to show you the images from our session. We will start by watching a slideshow to give you an overall idea and then we will go through them one by one and choose your favourites. To help you visualize exactly which images you would like to display on your walls, with my custom design software we can render full room views to show the sizes and layouts of your chosen photographs on your actual walls. I will then move your files into production with our partner labs that produce professional only, archival fine art prints, glossy metal prints, and high definition mounted acrylics that will last a lifetime.
THE INSTALLATION
Approximately 4-6 weeks later, I will hand deliver and install any custom wall art and galleries you have purchased.
